The Watford League

Description

From the Watford Friendly League Website

The league was formed in 1970 and known as The Bushey Friendly League.

It grew rapidly each season with the league having to run more age groups. To accommodate the demands of the clubs and the age groups they wanted to enter.

The League has around 100 clubs in membership, and within those clubs 500 teams from age groups U8 – U18 to arrange football for.

The Watford Friendly League arranges over 200 games per week from Sept – May allowing approximately 9000 boys and girls the chance to play football in a safe and secure environment.

The league has been providing Grass Roots football for children in Hertfordshire and Middlesex for a number of years.  The aim is to promote friendly football for all children of all ages or gender

The league is linked to Watford FC’s Football in the Community, Hertfordshire FA and Middlesex FA
