Following on from two very successful seasons since the league started we are pleased to announce the further development of the Capital Girls League (CGL) for Season 2013/14.

The league was initially launched in 2011 as a joint venture between Middlesex & London FA’s with the aim of increasing the number of young females playing football. The CGL has been operating over the past two seasons as a central venue league across two sites, Chase Lodge Playing Fields, Barnet & Beavers Sports Lodge, Hounslow.

For season 2013/2014 the league is developing further with a number of changes in place

The league has achieved Charter Standard League status and as a result they have produced  a three year development plan which ensures the future growth and development of the league for the benefit of its member clubs

The league is pleased to extend its cross county work to include the Amateur FA

The league will continue to run as two phases allowing new teams to join in Phase two commencing January as well as implementing League and Futsal Cups for the coming season.

The CGL is looking to add an additional age banding to the league offering teams the following for the coming season

The league would like to thank all of its current teams who will all be continuing for the coming season these include Ashford Town FC, Brentford FC, Brentham Colts Fc, Cantelowes FC, Enfield Town FC, Hampton Youth Fc, Hampstead FC, Hearts Of Teddlothian Fc, Islington Borough FC, Old Actonians FC, Ruislip Rangers FC, ,St Josephs FC,

Expected to be competitive but very much for all levels.

Training

Teams playing in the Capital Girls League will train mid-week and if there is a week without competitive games, a training session will be held at The London Marathon Playing Fields at Chase Lodge.

The teams will play their home matches at The London Marathon Playing Fields at Chase Lodge
