The Camden & Islington League

The Camden & Islington Youth Football League is a midweek evening league played atMarket Roadpitches – located north of Kings Cross on the border and Camden & Islington.  The league caters for 7 to 16 year olds and plays 8 a side football.

Standard of Football

Very competitive. The league is extremely competitive and league and cup ties are often hard fought.  Recognised as some of the best football in the area.

There are two divisions at most age groups and the league will run a preliminary league at the start of the season before splitting into A and B divisions.  There are typically 7 or 8 teams in each division and they will play each other once in the preliminary league and then twice in the A and B divisions thus playing 18 to 21 competitive league matches in addition to the Challeng cup which is hosted at each age group.

Mostly games are on a Friday but this can vary (sometimes at quite short notice) due to schedule backlogs.  The venue atMarket Roadis poorly maintained and can get rowdy at times (despite the league’s efforts to secure improvements).
