Sunday 20th October: Brook House ‘A’ 2 Hampstead ‘A’ 4

Hampstead U10A continued their 100% record with a win away at Brook House in the final minutes of the game. Hampstead had good possession initially and several early opportunities with Luc and Alfie both hitting the bar. However, Brook House had chances too and opened the scoring with a free kick on the edge of the Hampstead area just before half time. Hampstead bounced back strongly in the second half with George connecting with a through ball from Jake to equalise shortly after the restart. Brook House took the lead again almost immediately when a shot hit the underside of the bar and bounced in. Brook House had several chances but good determination and persistence across the Hampstead team brought an equaliser mid way through the half, with George scoring his second. Then, with just three minutes remaining, Joe made a strong tackle and run down the right wing before delivering a fine cross for Luc to put Hampstead in front for the first time. Straight from the Brook House kick off Luc won the ball and dodged pass two Brook House players to score his second of the game and settle the match. A lot to work on, but a strong finish. POTM – George for his two goals which kept Hampstead in the game.
